Terms of Service.
Plain-language version: we sell you a monthly bundle of domain, hosting, and email. You can cancel any time. Your domain stays yours. PayPal handles the money. Don't use the service for illegal things. Nothing below overrides those basics.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Firmcrate ("we", "us", "our"), a sole proprietorship based in Suriname. By signing up for a Firmcrate subscription or using firmcrate.com ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms.
1. What we provide
Firmcrate sells monthly subscription bundles that include:
- Registration and management of a second-level domain name on your behalf
- Shared web hosting with SSL
- Professional email mailboxes at your domain
The specific features included in each tier (Starter, Pro, Team) are described on the pricing page. We may update the technical underpinnings of the Service at any time, provided the advertised feature set remains intact or improves.
2. Your account
To use the Service you must:
- Provide accurate business and contact information during signup
- Be at least 18 years old or acting on behalf of a business with authority to bind it
- Keep your login credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account
- Not resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service to third parties without a written reseller agreement with us
3. Domain ownership
Domains registered through Firmcrate are registered in your name as the legal registrant. We act as the technical contact and manager. You may transfer the domain out to another registrar at any time at no cost, subject to ICANN's 60-day post-registration transfer lock. If you cancel your subscription, you retain ownership of the domain; renewal from that point is your responsibility unless you continue a Firmcrate subscription.
4. Billing and payments
- All payments are processed by Paddle.com Inc. as the Merchant of Record. Paddle handles invoicing, tax (VAT/GST/sales tax where applicable), and compliance. When you purchase a subscription, you are purchasing from Paddle, who in turn contracts with us to deliver the service.

- Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance in USD. Your first charge occurs at signup; subsequent charges on the same calendar date each month.
- If a charge fails, we will retry for up to 7 days. If still unpaid, the Service will be suspended.
- Prices are subject to change with at least 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions keep their original price for at least 12 months from signup unless a major platform cost change forces an earlier adjustment.
5. Refunds
See our refund policy for the full version. Summary: pro-rated refund on cancellation within 30 days of the most recent charge. After 30 days, service continues until the end of the paid period with no further refund.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use the Service to:
- Host content that is illegal in Suriname, the United States, the European Union, or the jurisdiction you operate from
- Send unsolicited bulk email ("spam") from your Firmcrate mailbox
- Host malware, phishing pages, or content designed to deceive
- Mine cryptocurrency, run open proxies, or operate high-bandwidth streaming services that disproportionately consume shared resources
- Attempt to compromise the Service, other customers' accounts, or the underlying infrastructure
We reserve the right to suspend service immediately, without refund, for violations. Where possible we will warn first.
7. Support
Support is provided via email at [email protected] during business hours (Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00 Suriname time, UTC-3). Target response time: one business day. Priority support for Pro and Team tiers aims for same-business-day response.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time from your account page or by emailing [email protected]. On cancellation:
- No further charges will occur
- Service remains active until the end of the current paid period
- Your data (website files, email mailboxes) remains accessible for 30 days after the paid period ends, to give you time to migrate
- After 30 days, data is permanently deleted
- Domain registration continues for the remainder of its registered term; you may transfer it out or let it lapse at renewal
9. Service availability
We target 99.5% monthly uptime for hosting and email. This is a target, not a contractual SLA. Scheduled maintenance will be announced at least 48 hours in advance where possible. We are not liable for downtime caused by upstream providers (domain registrar, datacenter, email relay), force majeure, or customer-caused issues.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind
- Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim
- We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or lost-profit damages
- Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for gross negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be excluded by applicable law
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms. If you disagree, you may cancel per Section 8.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Suriname. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Paramaribo, Suriname, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise.
