What's actually running my site?
Cloudflare's global edge — the same infrastructure behind Shopify, Discord, and a large share of the modern internet. Your site serves from whichever data center is closest to each visitor, with SSL, CDN, and DDoS protection included. Built on proven infra. Nothing homemade.
Who owns my domain?
You do. Always. It's registered in your firm's name, with your contact info. We manage it on your behalf — if you ever want to take it elsewhere, we'll transfer it out free.
What if I outgrow you?
You shouldn't. But when you do: we hand you full credentials, and you can migrate your domain, site, and email to any other provider. No lock-in, no "export fee."
What kind of support?
Direct email support from a Firmcrate representative within one business day. No ticket queues, no chatbots. Pro and Team tiers get priority response, typically same business day.
How do I cancel?
Two ways, both take under a minute:
- Self-serve via PayPal. Log into paypal.com → Settings → Payments → Manage automatic payments, find Firmcrate, click Cancel. Service continues until the end of your paid period, then stops.
- Email us. One line to [email protected] — a Firmcrate representative cancels for you the same business day.
Either way: no cancellation fee, your domain stays yours, and your data stays accessible for 30 days so you can move it. If you're on the annual plan and inside the first 14 days, we refund the unused months.
Do you support WordPress or a specific CMS?
Not out of the box. Your site runs as a fast template on Cloudflare's edge — no PHP, no database, no plugin patching at 2 a.m. If you genuinely need WordPress or a custom stack, the one-time $149 custom-site upgrade covers migration; email before signing up and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
Where are you based, and how do invoices work?
Operated from Suriname; payments processed through a Netherlands PayPal business account. PayPal sends you a receipt on every charge — that's what most bookkeepers need. If yours requires a formal invoice in a specific format, email [email protected] and we'll produce one.
Why not just use a service like Cloudflare directly?
You could. Cloudflare sells domains near wholesale and offers static hosting plus email forwarding — if you're comfortable pointing MX records at a separate mail provider, wiring three services together, and reading the docs on a Sunday evening. Firmcrate is for the firm that doesn't want to. One vendor, one invoice, domain + hosting + real hosted mailboxes (not just forwarding) all set up by us inside a business day. We're not cheaper than the DIY route. We're just already done by the time you'd have finished the setup guide.
