Refund Policy.

Last updated: 2026-04-19

We want you on a Firmcrate plan because it's the right fit, not because leaving is painful. This page explains how refunds and cancellations work, in plain language.

The short version

  • Cancel anytime — no phone call, no "retention team."
  • Within 30 days of your most recent monthly charge: pro-rated refund of the unused days.
  • After 30 days: service continues through the end of the paid period. No further refund for that period.
  • Your data stays accessible for 30 days after service ends, so you have time to move it.

How to cancel

Email [email protected] from the address on your account. Subject line: "Cancel subscription" is fine. We'll confirm within one business day and process any refund due at the same time.

What's refundable

Scenario Refund
Cancel within 30 days of most recent charge Pro-rated for unused days on the current billing period
Cancel after 30 days No refund for the current period; no further charges
Service outage attributable to us Credit on next invoice, case-by-case
You didn't use the service but stayed subscribed We don't auto-refund unused months; cancel to stop billing

Refunds return to the original payment method via Paddle (our Merchant of Record). Paddle typically processes refunds within 3–5 business days, though your card issuer may take an additional 5–10 days to show the credit.

Domain fees are non-refundable

Domain registration fees paid to the registrar (Namecheap) on your behalf are not refundable after the domain is registered, even if you cancel within 30 days. The domain itself remains registered in your name for its full registered term, and is yours to keep, transfer, or let lapse.

This applies to:

  • First-year registration fees when you sign up
  • Annual renewal fees charged at the start of each new registration year

If you cancel your subscription but keep the domain, we'll transfer it out to any registrar you choose at no cost.

Chargebacks

Before filing a chargeback with your bank or card issuer, please email us. Most payment issues resolve in a day and chargebacks can temporarily suspend your service while the dispute is open. We're not adversarial about refunds — ask first, we'll almost always sort it directly.
